Bill Sinclair is a senior Associate in the Baltimore office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. His practice focuses on a wide-range of litigation matters as well as counseling with regard to a number of environmental regulatory matters. Bill has handled environmental litigation cases under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act; the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act; and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as well as local land use cases. Bill has also handled product liability and commercial litigation matters and defended private parties in environmental, health care, and securities enforcement proceedings and investigations. In addition, Bill has counseled clients in land use, environmental review, and public lands matters focusing on NEPA, federal and state laws governing offshore resources, and related natural resource statutes. Bill is a member of the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee and an active participant in pro bono matters. Bill and others at the Firm represent Hispanic citizens on a pro bono basis in a housing discrimination case against a local municipality. In addition, Bill and another associate coordinate the Firm’s efforts to provide estate planning work for clients of the Whitman-Walker Clinic. Bill has drafted dozens of estate-planning documents and provided related advice to pro bono clients in both Atlanta and Washington D.C. Bill graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Editor-in-Chief of the Environmental Law Journal, and the University of California at San Diego, where he was Phi Beta Kappa and received Highest Honors in History. While in college, Bill was captain of the Men’s Varsity Volleyball team and the recipient of several academic and athletic awards. Prior to joining the Firm, Bill was a litigation associate at major law firms in Atlanta and San Diego and clerked for the Honorable C. Christopher Hagy in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
