Krista Hawley is an associate in the Massachusetts office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. Her practice is focused in the areas of land use and project development, litigation, and environmental law. In her land use and project development practice, Ms. Hawley primarily represents developers and property owners seeking all types of permits and approvals, including special permits, comprehensive permits, and wetlands orders. Her litigation experience includes representing clients in appeals of permitting and wetlands decisions, commercial disputes, and claims under state statutory and common law. Ms. Hawley also counsels individual businesses and trade associations on matters affecting the electronics industry related to product design, recycling, and producer responsibility, with a particular focus on developments and compliance issues in the New England States. She also has experience counseling industrial clients seeking compliance with NFPA and state standards governing the storage of flammable and combustible liquids. Ms. Hawley received her law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 2005), where she served as Articles Editor of Environmental Law. She received her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University (B.A., 1999) with a major in journalism, where she was managing editor and sports editor of the daily newspaper. Prior to joining Beveridge & Diamond, Ms. Hawley served as judicial law clerk to the Hon. Charles W. Trombly, Jr., Justice of the Massachusetts Land Court. During law school, Ms. Hawley served as a judicial intern and extern to the Honorable Anna J. Brown of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.
