Jia Yn Chen is an associate in the San Francisco office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C., practicing in the areas of environmental litigation, land use, and environmental regulatory, transactional and due diligence matters.  His litigation experience includes litigation over contaminated property, including toxic tort, product defect and nuisance cases, cost recovery actions, representation of PRPs and PRP groups at Superfund sites, insurance recovery, and trade secret matters.  His regulatory and transactional experience includes a broad range of California and federal regulatory programs, including OSHA matters, water damage and mold regulatory matters, worker safety issues, regulatory compliance at contaminated properties, and contract negotiations regarding access agreements.  Prior to joining Beveridge and Diamond, Mr. Chen was an associate at a large national law firm practicing in environmental law and litigation.

Mr. Chen earned a J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School in 2002, where he was an Articles Editor for the Cornell International Law Journal.  He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1996 with a B.S. in Biology. 

Mr. Chen is a member of the California Bar Association, Environmental Section, and is admitted to practice in California.
