Jennifer Abdella is an Associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C., with a general litigation, regulatory, and environmental practice.  Ms. Abdella’s practice is primarily focused on representing both municipal and private clients in a variety of matters that arise under the Clean Water Act, including regulatory and compliance counseling and defense against enforcement actions. 

In addition to her work within the Firm’s water group, Ms. Abdella counsels multinational corporations and major trade associations on global product stewardship matters concerning state, national, and international laws that affect product design and recycling, producer responsibility, and the international movement of products and end-of-life equipment.  She also has counseled clients on an array of domestic environmental laws and their state equivalents, including the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and the Clean Air Act.  

Beyond her environmental law practice, Ms. Abdella maintains an active pro bono practice.  In addition to assisting with the firm’s pro bono representation of various non-profit organizations, she has represented clients in asylum proceedings before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and in estate planning and end-of-life care matters. 

Ms. Abdella received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Vermont Law School, where she worked as a student clinician in Vermont Law School’s Environmental & Natural Resources Law Clinic, taught legal writing to first-year law students, and competed as a member of the Costle Environmental Moot Court Team.  She was also a member of the Vermont Law Review, and served as a Symposium Editor.  While attending law school, Ms. Abdella interned for the Honorable Justice Marilyn Skoglund of the Vermont Supreme Court.   

Ms. Abdella obtained  her undergraduate degree (Environmental Policy and Behavior) and her masters degree (Resource Ecology and Management) from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources & Environment. Prior to law school, Ms. Abdella worked as an aquatic ecologist in the Chesapeake Bay and Great Lakes regions.

Ms. Abdella is a member of the Massachusetts State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
