James D. Finn is an Associate in the New York office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C.  Jimmy’s transactional and regulatory experience includes drafting environmental services agreements, drafting and negotiating environmental indemnification and warranty provisions in purchase agreements, conducting environmental due diligence in conjunction with corporate transactions, and assisting clients with regulatory compliance.  His litigation experience includes representing corporate clients in toxic tort, products liability, and class-action matters, with a primary emphasis on petroleum contamination. 

Prior to joining Beveridge & Diamond, Jimmy was an associate in the New York office of a large international law firm.  In both 2003 and 2004, Jimmy was part of the United States Department of Justice's summer honors program, working in the Civil Rights Division's Employment Litigation and Special Litigation Sections, respectively.

Jimmy received his J.D. in 2006 from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served as the Executive Articles Editor of The North Carolina Law Review and as a member of the Holderness Moot Court and Broun National Trial Team.  He also holds a Master's Degree in City & Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Jimmy graduated from William & Mary in 2000, with a B.A. in Government & History.

Jimmy is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the City Bar's Land Use, Planning, & Zoning Committee, and the New York State Bar Association.  He is admitted to practice in New York and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
