Biography

Anthony’s practice focuses on complex environmental litigation and product regulatory compliance, particularly in the automotive industry.

He has represented clients at different contaminated properties and remediation matters under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (Superfund), similar state statutes, and toxic tort/product liability claims. He has also represented clients in connection with citizen suits brought under the Clean Water Act (CWA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Further, he has experience with data compensation arbitration matters under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).

For nearly three years, Anthony was extensively involved in the Department of Justice-appointed Independent Corporate Compliance Monitor and Audit matter in connection with the Volkswagen AG diesel emissions proceedings. During this experience, he gained tremendous insight into sophisticated domestic and foreign corporate compliance management systems, internal auditing, the creation of complex internal controls, and the automotive product development process, including both domestic and international vehicle emissions certification regimes. He has also had extensive experience advising clients on product compliance policies and other regulatory compliance matters.

Anthony also serves as the firm’s Deputy Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, a role he has served since 2017.

Anthony is also very active in pro bono matters, including successfully representing LGBTQ+ asylum seekers fleeing persecution and drafting estate documents.

During his time at Pace Law School, Anthony served as a judicial intern for Judge Patty Shwartz in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and as a law clerk in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. Anthony also served as an environmental advisor to the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in New York. Anthony served as the Managing Editor of Pace Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude and received the ALI-CLE Scholarship and Leadership Award and the Michael I. Ginsberg Memorial Scholarship Award.

Prior to law school, Anthony worked as a chemical analyst in the elemental analysis section of a global company that provides testing and inspection services for the petroleum, refining, and petrochemical industries.
