Brooklyn maintains a diverse environmental litigation and regulatory practice, which includes experience with the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and CERCLA. Brooklyn joined the firm following her graduation from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

During her time at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Brooklyn worked on the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and competed as a member of the Environmental Appellate Advocacy team at the West Virginia University energy and Pace University environmental moot court competitions.  Brooklyn also worked as a teaching assistant for undergraduate students taking the Environmental Law Course.

Brooklyn served as a law clerk in the Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division, where she researched enforcement strategy in various cases primarily involving CERCLA violations. She also worked as an intern at the South Carolina Environmental Law Project and an extern at the North Carolina Supreme Court under Justice Hudson.

During law school, Brooklyn completed over 100 hours of pro bono work at institutions including the Southern Environmental Law Center, Sierra Club, and Piedmont Law center.  Her commitment to pro bono work has continued during her time at the firm working on matters for both individuals and organizations such as the Environmental Law Institute.

Brooklyn is admitted to practice law in North Carolina only and is presently practicing pursuant to D.C. App. Rule 49(c)(8) and supervised by Principals of the Firm who are licensed to practice in Washington, D.C.
