Jackson Morrill is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. with a general environmental practice, focused primarily on global product stewardship and overseas regulations and compliance. Jackson counsels multinational corporations and trade associations on developments in bilateral, regional and global environmental agreements and domestic and international regulatory requirements related to chemicals, associated security requirements, hazardous materials transportation and end-of-life product management. He also advises clients on regulatory and compliance issues in Canada and many Central and South American countries.

Prior to joining the firm, Jackson was an environmental legal specialist at The World Bank in the Latin America, Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa regions. While at The World Bank, he participated in all phases of the project cycle (preparation, supervision and implementation completion) in projects ranging from irrigation and water resources management reform in Qatar to mainstreaming adaptation to climate change in the Caribbean. He also provided technical support on issues related to The World Bank’s social and environmental safeguard policies, operational directives and procedures. Jackson also had the opportunity to serve as legal counsel in an Inspection Panel case involving a waste water project in Colombia.

Jackson is a graduate of Tulane Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2001), where he specialized in environmental law and published an article in Tulane's Journal of International and Comparative Law. During law school, he was awarded the opportunity to study for a semester at the University of Buenos Aires, where he concentrated on public international law. Jackson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia (B.A., high distinction, 1996) with a double major in history and Latin American Studies. He is currently an adjunct professor at the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, DC and teaches a course on international environmental law and business.
