Washington, D.C. -- 1615 L Street LLC, an affiliate of the Spitzer organization, announced today that it has purchased a 13 story office building at 1615 L Street, N.W. in Washington. The building, which contains over 400,000 square feet, was purchased for $180 million, $138 million in assumed debt and $42 million in cash.  Beveridge & Diamond, as its local counsel, advised 1615 L Street LLC on certain aspects of the acquisition and loan assumption. 

The Spitzer family's company owns several prominent office projects in New York City, including the Crown Building at 730 Fifth Ave. in Manhattan. The company has built some of the largest and most expensive apartment buildings in Manhattan, including the 56-story Corinthian and several luxury apartment buildings on Fifth Avenue.

The Beveridge & Diamond team was led by principal Edward West and included principals Holly Cannon and Cynthia Lewis.  All are resident in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office.
