April 28, 2014

Beveridge & Diamond Principal Karl Bourdeau will speak at the American Conference Institute’s  5th Annual Forum on Chemical Products Liability & Environmental Litigation on April 28, 2014.  Mr. Bourdeau’s presentation, “Limiting Exorbitant Liability in Environmental Citizen Suits and Differentiating a Case Brought by Private Citizens from a Case in which EPA is Involved,” will address key aspects of the increasing number of citizen suits brought under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act alleging regulatory violations or conditions that may present an imminent and substantial endangerment. Among other topics, Mr. Bourdeau will address various defenses that can be pursued to defend against such claims.  The American Conference Institute forum brings together in-house and outside counsel to discuss best practices for defending complex cases, along with leading trends in the chemical products liability and environmental litigation industry.
