Beveridge & Diamond Sponsoring and Presenting at Offshore Oil and Gas Leasing, Regulation, and Enforcement Conference in New Orleans

September 12, 2014

Beveridge & Diamond has partnered with EUCI to hold a Federal Offshore Oil and Gas Leasing, Regulation, and Enforcement conference from September 11-12, 2014 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.  Peter Schaumberg and John Cossa, former offshore oil and gas attorneys at the Department of the Interior’s Office of the Solicitor and now with Beveridge & Diamond’s Natural Resources and Project Development Group, will serve as conference hosts.

The conference will also feature presenters from Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Wood Group, and the American Petroleum Institute, among others, and will provide a comprehensive overview of the federal offshore leasing, development, and production process as regulated by the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, and Office of Natural Resource Revenue.  The two-day program will:

  • familiarize attendees with the applicable legal framework and regulatory regime governing oil and gas operations on the Outer Continental Shelf,
  • provide insight into the most recent government policies emerging in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon incident, and
  • highlight changes that are just around the corner for the federal offshore oil and gas program.
