Paul E. Hagen will be speaking on the International Environmental Issues panel at the 2006 GLOBALCOMM Environmental Summit. This free summit consists of a series of panelists who will cover a range of environmental and regulatory issues impacting the lifecycle of electronic products. Mr. Hagen will address mandates for the collection and recycling of mobile phones that are in place in Europe as well as new mandates being contemplated in Canada, and several key Latin American countries. He will discuss the development of best practices for the collection, recycling, refurbishment and transboundary movement of mobile phones for recycling and reuse at the international level by major carriers and handset manufacturers working under a partnership with the Basel Convention. Mr. Hagen will explain the current and anticipated requirements that are likely to govern the mangement of used mobile phones in key markets world-wide.
