Low Emission Diesel Rule Revision
- Approval Date: May 9, 2007
- Effective Date: May 31, 2007
TCEQ has revised 30 TAC §114.318(c) of the Texas Low Emission Diesel (TxLED) program rules to extend the expiration date applicable to all alternative emission reduction plans (AERPs) approved by the executive director pursuant to §114.318 prior to December 16, 2005, by one year to December 31, 2007. The amendment applies this new expiration date to all AERPs approved by the executive director prior to May 17, 2006. The change to §114.318(c) also removes the exception that allowed a producer operating under an AERP and attempting to obtain verification under the EPA’s Environment Technology Verification Program and EPA’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality’s Voluntary Diesel Retrofit Program to continue to operate under their AERP for a limited time beyond December 31, 2006. Repeal of Certain Subchapters of 30 TAC Chapter 321
This rulemaking would repeal Subchapters G, H, J, K, M, and O of 30 TAC Chapter 321 (Control of Certain Activities by Rule) which have been replaced by general permits.
Waste Rules and General Applicability Rules
There are no new significant waste rules or general applicability rules to report since the April 2007 issue of Texas Environmental Update.
