In addition to cooking with her husband, camping, fishing, hiking, and doing nature photography, one of Deepti's greatest passions is travel having visited 49 of the 50 states and a number of national parks and monuments. She recently won 2^nd place in a National Parks Service photography contest at Great Falls National Park and also won a Planet Forward Storyfest 2020 Award in the "Fan Favorite Award" category for her story "Wait! Before you squish that bug..." which explores species conservation and its importance to improving both the economy and protecting the global ecosystem.
