Eric Klein Speaking at ISRI Legal Council Meeting

Beveridge & Diamond Principal Eric Klein (Washington, DC) will speak at the Legal Council meeting hosted by the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. (ISRI), taking place November 7 in Washington, DC. ISRI represents approximately 1300 companies operating in nearly 4000 locations in the U.S. and in 34 countries worldwide that process, broker, and consume scrap commodities. The Legal Council meeting is an opportunity to discuss recent legal decisions affecting the recycling industry, as well as ask questions or advice from others in the industry.

Eric will speak on the topic of environmental citizen groups' increasingly aggressive lawsuits under the citizen-suit provisions of the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and other environmental laws in the Trump Era. He will also cover the basic theories of citizen-suit litigation, including what to expect in a citizen suit, how to prepare, how to respond, and lessons learned from recent cases.
