Latinvex Recognizes Maddie Boyer Among Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers for 2018

Principal Maddie Boyer (Austin) was named a "Top 100 Lawyer" in Latin America for 2018 by Latinvex, a ranking determined by a combination of factors including recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of the firm in Latin America, and rankings by third parties. This marks the second consecutive year Maddie, founder of the firm's Latin America practice group, has been recognized by Latinvex as a "Top 100 Lawyer".

Maddie provides legal analyses, strategic assessments and compliance counseling on a variety of issues arising under the domestic environmental, health and safety regulations of most Latin American countries. Fluent in Spanish, Maddie received a post-graduate degree from La Escuela Libre de Derecho School of Law, Mexico's premier law school, where she wrote and defended a thesis on Mexico's hazardous waste and remediation standards. From 1988-1990, she served in the United States Peace Corps in Guatemala. This marks the fifth consecutive year Maddie has been recognized by Latinvex, having been recognized as a "Top Female Lawyer" in Latin American from 2014-2017 in addition to her recognition as a "Top 100 Lawyer."

Latinvex refers to B&D’s Latin American practice as "one of the key Latin American environmental law practices in the United States” and named us to its list of the "Top International Law Firms" for Environment in Latin America in 2015. The Top International Law Firm ranking is based on a combination of factors, including value, prominence, and scope of work, as well as references among clients and peers.
