John Cruden Presenting Keynote and Jimmy Slaughter Speaking on PFAS Panel at NACWA's National Clean Water Law & Enforcement Event

Beveridge & Diamond Principals John Cruden (Washington, DC) and Jimmy Slaughter (Washington, DC) will speak during the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA)'s National Clean Water Law & Enforcement Virtual Event taking place November 17-19. John, former Assistant Attorney General for the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, will deliver the opening address, "What Will Clean Water Look Like in 2021?" He will discuss the future of clean water law on the 50th Anniversary of the Clean Water Act in 2022, and how recent developments, including a growing focus on environmental justice issues, will impact clean water law enforcement and litigation in 2021 and beyond.

On November 18, Jimmy will speak on a panel, "PFAS & Clean Water – What Clean Water Lawyers Should Know." Jimmy's panel will discuss policy, regulations, and litigation regarding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), implications for wastewater operations, and what lawyers need to know in addressing PFAS-related risks and liabilities.
