Henry Diamond Authors Article on the 1965 White House Conference on Natural Beauty in The Environmental Forum
Henry Diamond, Senior Counsel and Founder of Beveridge & Diamond, authored a chapter in the March/April issue of The Environmental Forum, the Environmental Law Institute's (ELI) policy journal. Mr. Diamond's article, "Lessons Learned for Today," looks back on the White House Conference on Natural Beauty in 1965, which set the stage for a major transition in environmental law and led to a surge in environmental and natural resource legislation. Mr. Diamond discusses the government-citizen cooperation, high-level leadership, and bipartisanship displayed at the conference that should carry over to today's discussions on environmental issues.
Mr. Diamond was co-executive director of the White House Conference on Natural Beauty, and was recently presented with ELI's 2015 Environmental Achievement Award.
