National Law Journal Again Names Beveridge & Diamond to Its "Midsize Hot List"

The National Law Journal has again included Beveridge & Diamond on its "Midsize Hot List."  The list recognizes 20 law firms of between 50 and 150 lawyers that demonstrate creative strategies that keep them competitive against much larger law firms.  2016 marks the fifth time that Beveridge & Diamond has been so honored, having previously been recognized in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015.

As noted in the introduction to the report, attorneys at the selected firms “used their creativity and skill to stay competitive in courtrooms and at deal tables across the U.S.....charting winning courses in high-stakes matters that led to key victories in 2015. Above all, these firms embody lawyering at its essence — working hard to understand and serve their clients' needs."

"We are gratified to again appear on the NLJ’s Midsize Hot List," said Benjamin F. Wilson, Beveridge & Diamond's Managing Principal.  "Our focused national and international environmental practice, emphasis on seamless client service delivered across our network of offices, and leadership and innovation on diversity and inclusion are key to our firm’s culture and to the value we provide to clients.”

In selecting Beveridge & Diamond for inclusion on this year’s list, the National Law Journal cited the Firm’s "expertise on air, water, energy and other environmental law issues," as well as our diversity and inclusion initiatives. In particular, the publication noted the firm's work on climate change-related issues, and quoted Firm Principal Laura McAfee on air and energy regulation.  The National Law Journal recognized the firm's 7th Circuit litigation victory on behalf of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, and noted Ben Wilson's selection as court-appointed monitor in the Duke Energy coal ash spill settlement and cleanup.
