Virginia State Bar Environmental Law Section Elects Senior Associate Astrika Adams to Board of Governors

The Virginia State Bar Environmental Law Section recently elected Senior Associate Astrika Adams to its Board of Governors. The Environmental Law Section provides programs and publications that keep Virginia State Bar members up to date on developments in state and federal environmental law. The Environmental Law Section also issues a monthly news update and hosts continuing legal education programs throughout the year. Astrika’s term begins July 1, 2025. 

I am honored to be elected to the Board of Governors. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members and continuing to contribute to the Virginia legal community,” Astrika said.

In addition to her role on the Board of Governors, Astrika has served on the planning commission for the annual Environment Virginia Symposium for the last four years, a major event hosted by the state’s environmental regulatory agencies (including the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality) that brings together key stakeholders from across the legal, regulatory, and industry spectrum.

Astrika, who resides in the Charlottesville, VA area and is affiliated with B&D’s Washington, DC office, focuses her practice on transactional and project development matters, handling all contracts and agreements implicated by environmental regulations across diverse sectors, including clean energy projects and environmental attribute transactions. B&D regularly assists clients throughout Virginia on a full range of environmental regulatory, litigation, and project development matters.
