B&D Celebrates Third Class of Thurgood Marshall Opportunity Fellows

With the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Beveridge & Diamond initiated the creation of the Thurgood Marshall Opportunity Program in 2012 and helped secure the participation and support of four other Baltimore law firms. The Program provides opportunities for diverse first-year law students to have a summer internship with the Office of the Attorney General as supplemented by formal networking and educational opportunities. The program launched in 2013 and last week successfully concluded its third summer. All five sponsoring firms have committed to continued support for another three years, and B&D anticipates that the program will grow as additional firms become interested in becoming sponsors and joining the unique networking opportunities that focus on the clerks’ professional development.

Questions about becoming a TMOP sponsor should be directed to B&D Principals Ben Wilson (Washington, DC), Pam Marks (Baltimore), and Evynn Overton (Baltimore).
