CAIR Coalition Recognizes Dacie Meng and Gaya Patel on "Pro Bono Honor Roll"
The Capital Area Immigrants' Rights (CAIR) Coalition recognized Associates Dacia Meng (Washington, DC) and Gayatri Patel (Washington, DC) as members of their "CAIR Coalition Pro Bono Honor Roll" during its annual reception yesterday. Each year, CAIR Coalition takes time at its annual Justice For All Annual Reception to recognize a short list of pro bono attorneys who have, by their commitment to access to justice for their clients, been exemplars of how volunteers move forward CAIR Coalition’s mission.
The CAIR Coalition works to keep families together and strives to ensure equal justice for all immigrant men, women, and children at risk of detention and deportation in the DC metropolitan area and beyond through direct legal representation, presentations, impact and advocacy work, and the training of attorneys in immigration and criminal justice arenas. It is the only 501c3 non-profit organization with a legal services program focused exclusively on assisting immigrants being detained in adult and juvenile immigration detention centers in the Washington, DC area.
