Zaheer maintains a general environmental litigation and regulatory practice, working with clients nationally and internationally across industrial sectors.

He joined the firm following his graduation as valedictorian from Pace University School of Law and obtaining a Masters of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where he focused on renewable energy generation project development and energy systems analysis.

Before law school, Zaheer served as an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education Fellow in the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA's) Office of Water in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, he worked as an environmental scientist focusing on hydrogeological analysis and site remediation.

While at Pace Law School, Zaheer clerked at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and at the New York Attorney General’s Environmental Protection Bureau. During this time he worked on federal and state energy issues. Zaheer also served as a judicial intern for Senior Judge Deborah Batts in the Southern District of New York. He worked as Peer Review Editor of Pace Environmental Law Review and worked as a researcher at the Pace Energy and Climate Center. He also received the New York Bar Association’s Environmental Law Fellowship. At Yale University, Zaheer focused his course of study on energy project siting and development, with a particular focus on solar energy development in Connecticut and the water-energy nexus nationally. He served as a student consultant in the Yale Environmental Protection Clinic, where he wrote a report contrasting American and Greek military environmental laws and presented best practice recommendations to the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy.

Zaheer’s pro bono experience includes work as a volunteer at the John Jay Legal Services Center’s Immigration Justice Clinic advising clients on various immigration and documentation issues; at the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project in the production of Spanish and English documents; and in the preparation and execution of wills and trusts documents.
