Evynn Overton is an associate in the Baltimore, Maryland office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C., with a general environmental, litigation, and regulatory practice. Ms. Overton's practice is focused primarily on complex environmental litigation, most recently involving petroleum hydrocarbon contamination of groundwater. Ms. Overton handles and coordinates key aspects of discovery and defense, and works closely with a team of technical experts. Ms. Overton also has experience with a variety of Maryland environmental programs and compliance issues, including solid and hazardous waste regulation, storage tank regulation, and the State's air management program. Ms. Overton received her legal degree from the University of Maryland (J.D., with honors), and upon graduation received the William P. Cunningham award. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University (B.A., History). While in law school, Ms. Overton was a finalist in the Myerowitz Moot Court Competition, competed on the National Moot Court Team, and served on The Business Lawyer as an Associate Articles Editor. During law school, Ms. Overton clerked at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Ms. Overton is a member of the Maryland State Bar. |
