Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. is currently seeking 2L candidates to join the firm’s 2026 Summer Associate Program in one of our seven offices.
Our Summer Associate Program is designed to provide summer associates with a realistic snapshot of associate life within our firm while helping you develop the skills and knowledge for a successful legal career.
We look for individuals with strong academic credentials, varied experience, and a strong background interest in environmental law, natural resources law, land use, or litigation. Moot Court and Law Journal is a plus.

Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks an environmental associate with two to six years of experience.
The associate will advise and represent clients in a wide range of environmental matters, including Maryland’s environmental regulatory framework and Federal environmental law, and may include and permitting, litigation, environmental aspects of transactional support, and remediation. They will help clients anticipate regulatory challenges, mitigate risks, and develop strategic solutions to complex environmental concerns.
This role offers an opportunity to engage in high-stakes environmental law matters, working closely with clients to navigate evolving regulations and emerging environmental risks.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in working in Maryland regulations or policy.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Compensation
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $260,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation for this position may also include discretionary performance and productivity bonuses.

Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks an environmental attorney (Of Counsel or Shareholder) with at least nine years of experience, including experience with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General representing the Maryland Department of Environment.
The attorney will advise and represent clients in high-stakes environmental matters, with a particular focus on Maryland. This attorney will counsel clients on a range of Maryland and Federal regulatory matters, that may include permitting, litigation, remediation strategy and support, and environmental aspects of transactional matters. The ideal candidate will be prepared to provide strategic guidance to help clients to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and mitigate legal and business risks.
This role presents an opportunity for an experienced practitioner to leverage their knowledge, to build and expand client relationships, and contribute to the vitality of the Firm’s environmental practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep regulatory and litigation experience, strong business development acumen, and a commitment to collaborative leadership within the Firm.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate has significant experience working on environmental issues in Maryland state government. A scientific background is a plus.

Compensation
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $300,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. This range reflects the base salary that the Firm reasonably expects to pay for a Principal-level position.
For successful Of Counsel and Principals, total compensation is likely to exceed the base salary range due to origination credit and other forms of productivity- and performance-based compensation. These additional components of compensation vary widely and are determined in accordance with the Firm’s compensation policies.

Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks an experienced hazardous waste lawyer with five to fifteen years of practice to join our firm in any of our seven offices. The ideal candidate must have substantial RCRA practice experience, including work related to the definition of solid waste, characterization of hazardous waste, counseling on waste generation, transportation, recycling and regulatory exemption issues, and the permitting of waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities.
Experience with advocacy in the context of RCRA rulemaking and/or enforcement is preferred. A technical background is a plus, as is relevant government experience at the federal or state levels.
