Stephen Smith to Speak on Federal Enforcement Updates for Association of Corporate Counsel Webcast
Of Counsel Stephen Smith (Washington, DC) will speak on a webcast, "Supreme Court, Federal Enforcement, and Unified Agenda Environmental Update," for the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). Anthony Threatts (EHS attorney, UPS Corporate) will join Stephen on the panel.
Lower federal courts are grappling with the application of recent Supreme Court holdings in the context of agency deference and/or authority, and federal environmental enforcement trends and planned rulemaking continue to evolve as the second Trump Administration progresses with its deregulatory agenda. The speakers will offer a timely examination of lower court applications of Loper Bright, Jarkesy, and Seven County, as well as relevant federal enforcement updates and planned rulemaking under EPA’s Unified Agenda.
CLE credit will be available in some jurisdictions.
