B&D Sponsoring, Speaking at ABA's Cannabis & Hemp Law Conference

Beveridge & Diamond is proud to sponsor the American Bar Association (ABA) Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS)'s Conference, From Regs to Riches: Navigating the Rapidly Emerging Fields of Cannabis & Hemp Law, taking place in Chicago, Illinois, from September 19 to 20. The conference will provide an educational and networking opportunity for those in the rapidly emerging cannabis and hemp law sectors.

Of Counsel Chris Strunk (San Francisco) is a co-chair of the conference. Principal Kathy Szmuszkovicz (Washington, DC) will join Chris on the panel "It’s Not Easy Being Green: How the Cannabis Industry Can Adapt to Evolving Environmental Laws, Regulations and Litigation," which will take place on September 20 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The panelists will explore how the growers and ancillary businesses in the industry can mitigate their environmental risks through regulatory compliance with environmental laws (particularly ones involving pesticides, water, and air) and proactive efforts to stave off toxic tort and product liability litigation.

The American Bar Association will apply for CLE credit in many jurisdictions. For more information, or to register, please see ABA's website
