Mark Duvall to Speak at Chemical Watch Conference on TSCA Developments

Mark Duvall (Principal, Washington, DC) will speak at Chemical Watch's virtual conference, TSCA Developments 2023. The event will bring together regulators, industry leaders, and legal counsel to address new reporting requirements and ongoing Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) litigation. Mark will provide an update on test orders, including statutory requirements for TSCA test orders, EPA’s test orders and testing plans, and best practices.

Passed in 1974, TSCA empowered the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to require testing and restriction of certain chemical substances. EPA evaluates known and new chemicals and their risks and requires testing by manufacturers where risks of exposure are found. In 2016, President Obama passed the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act to update TSCA and increase public transparency for information regarding chemical safety.
