Susan Smith Speaking at AWWA Workshop on Legal Challenges in the Water Sector

Principal Susan Smith (San Francisco) will speak at the American Water Works Association (AWWA)'s Legal Program Workshop, "21st Century Legal Challenges in the Water Sector," taking place in Chicago, IL on December 5.

Susan will moderate the panel discussion "The Tort Liabilities and Water Utilities: Will They Sue Us?," which will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m (CT) on December 5. The panelists will consider the current legal, policy and regulatory actions surrounding PFAS of key interest to water utilities, exploring both PFAS and other ubiquitous compounds that have been the focus of litigation such as MTBE and whether there any lessons that can be drawn.
