B&D’s San Francisco Office Moves to New Space in the Financial District
Beveridge & Diamond (B&D) proudly announces the move of its San Francisco office to 333 Bush Street, Suite 1500, in the Financial District. B&D’s San Francisco office helps clients located in California or that have operations within the state on issues including contaminated property remediation, air and water regulations, climate change initiatives, waste and recycling, project development, chemical regulation and Prop 65 requirements, product stewardship, California enforcement challenges, and environmental marketing claims. B&D’s San Francisco-based lawyers also advise clients on environmental law and litigation matters across the U.S. and around the world. This new space will accommodate the firm’s growing California team, with the office having added nine new associates and International LLM fellows over the past 18 months.
Senior Counsel Gary Smith helped establish B&D’s presence in California with the opening of a San Francisco office in September 1989, driven by California’s leadership on environmental policy that continues today. “Since California was (and still is) at the vanguard of environmental issues and what happens here affects our clients and environmental law nationwide, it was important that B&D, a leading firm on environmental law and litigation, have a presence in California,” said Gary. “With 15 years of environmental law and litigation experience since the firm’s founding in Washington, DC in 1974, B&D was able to hit the ground running when we opened in San Francisco.” This was B&D’s third U.S. office, making B&D a true nationwide firm.

One of the tallest buildings in San Francisco, the recently renovated property is owned by Tishman Speyer and also houses a state-of-the-art coworking space and conference facility. In keeping with B&D’s sustainability initiatives, 333 Bush is True Zero Waste-Pre-certified and LEED Gold-certified.
