Biography
Chris combines government experience, private practice, and scientific training to assist clients in environmental litigation.
His work focuses on Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) litigation, as well as civil and criminal investigations involving other environmental statutes.
He has experience leading trials, preparing witnesses, briefing dispositive motions, facilitating discovery, and conducting internal investigations.
Prior to joining Beveridge & Diamond, Chris served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, representing the State of Washington in felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. He began his environmental law career as a Legal Intern at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Region 4, where he produced memos on public trust, hazardous waste management, and CERCLA liability. Chris also served as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney's Office in the District of Oregon, drafting research memos for civil and criminal cases.
Before his legal career, Chris worked as a marine biologist studying sharks in The Bahamas and salmonids in California. During this time, he co-authored a scientific publication analyzing the migratory patterns of great hammerhead sharks.
