Biography

Emily is a skilled environmental litigator.

For more than twenty years, Emily has successfully defended a wide variety of cases including environmental, commercial, landlord-tenant, real estate, and cost recovery actions among others. She has a special interest in litigating toxic torts, particularly those arising from alleged environmental contamination from TCE, TCP, PCE, DDT, PCB, and asbestos. A number of these cases were resolved by successful motions for summary judgment. Emily also second-chaired a case worth over $1,000,000 that ended in a published defense verdict.

Emily represents entities of all sizes and types, including Fortune 500 companies, public agencies, special districts, individuals, and esteemed universities.

Emily also maintains an active pro bono practice, helping victims of domestic violence obtain temporary and permanent restraining orders.
