Principals John Cruden and Nessa Coppinger (Washington DC) will moderate two separate panels during the American Bar Association Section of Litigation, Environmental & Energy Committee's 5th Annual Environmental Enforcement Update, "Environmental Enforcement in 2018: Perspectives From Federal and Non-Federal Stakeholders Regional CLE Program," taking place in Washington, DC, on November 13 from 1:00pm to 6:30pm (EST). The program will focus on the current state of EPA enforcement and how it may affect environmental cases that are taken to court and will feature key litigation and enforcement stakeholders from across the federal and non-federal legal landscape.
John will moderate a panel titled "DOJ and EPA Alumni on Recent Developments in Environmental Investigations and Enforcement," a discussion by U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency *(EPA) alumni and insiders on recent federal environmental developments.
Nessa will moderate the panel, "Environmental Enforcement Without U.S. EPA?" Panelists will discuss how states, public interest groups, trade associations, and other stakeholders may attempt to fill or take advantage of the potential void created by an absence of aggressive EPA enforcement of federal statutes. Panelists will provide perspectives from the states, NGOs, and other potential plaintiffs and their enforcement efforts in the current political climate.
CLE credit will be available in some jurisdictions.
