Biography
Griffin helps clients address environmental challenges involving hazardous waste, water contamination, endangered species, and land use.
His practice covers all major areas of environmental law, with particular focus on hazardous waste mitigation, water contamination, endangered species protection, and land use matters. Griffin advises clients across industries, helping them manage regulatory risks, respond to enforcement actions, and pursue and defend environmental claims.
Griffin’s experience includes:
- Representing clients in litigation and counseling under key state and federal statutes, including CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Water Act, CEQA, NEPA, and the federal and California Endangered Species Acts.
- Prosecuting and defending claims for recovery of environmental cleanup costs and related damages.
- Counseling clients on endangered species permitting and conservation strategies to support project development and operational compliance.
While in law school, Griffin served as the Senior Publishing Editor of Ecology Law Quarterly and worked as a student clinician in the Environmental Law Clinic.
