Principal Jimmy Slaughter Reappointed to DC Bar Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee

The District of Columbia Bar President and Board of Governors recently reappointed Principal Jimmy Slaughter (Washington, DC) to the DC Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee for a second two-year term. The Committee assists the Board of Governors in developing the rules that govern many aspects of lawyer conduct and are the foundation of a self-governing profession. Jimmy was first appointed in 2020.

Jimmy commented, “My two years on the Committee have underscored for me the importance of a self-governing bar, and the tremendous skill and attention to detail the DC Bar and the Committee bring to bear on formulating the rules. I’m privileged to have two more years to help shape rules that protect the public, advance the profession, and ensure fairness for all lawyers.”

A Chambers-ranked lawyer, Jimmy is recognized as a leader in mass tort, class action, and constitutional litigation involving chemicals, solid waste, drinking water, wastewater, and biosolids. Law360 named Jimmy an “MVP” for 2020, and American Lawyer selected him as a Runner-Up for Litigator of the Week five times in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
