Ben Wilson Named Board Secretary of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity

The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) named Chairman Ben Wilson (Washington, DC) as Secretary of the Board for 2020. B&D is a founding member of LCLD and has sponsored a firm lawyer’s participation in the LCLD Fellows and Pathfinder Programs every year since their inception.

A tireless advocate for diversity and inclusion in the legal profession, Ben established the African American General Counsel and Managing Partner Network in 2012 as well as the Diverse Partners Network in 2008. He has also been recognized for his leadership by numerous organizations and publications and has served as a Board member for organizations such as the American Bar Association's Environmental Justice Committee, the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, and the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council.

"LCLD’s programs and initiatives make a difference by connecting allies for diversity and inclusion," said Ben. "Many lawyers at B&D have benefited from their involvement with LCLD as Fellows, Pathfinders, or in other ways, and LCLD is an important element of our overall diversity and inclusion program. I am honored to serve on the board."

"LCLD is fortunate to welcome such a talented, experienced, and diverse slate of leaders to the board of directors," said Robert Grey, President of LCLD. "These four individuals bring their own personal commitment to diversity and inclusion and will be instrumental in helping LCLD set and reach new and ambitious goals."
