Erika Spanton Speaks with Law360 on Future of WOTUS in Trump Administration

Principal and Co-Chair of B&D’s water practice, Erika Spanton (Seattle), recently spoke with Law360 on environmental trends to watch in 2025.

In “Key Environmental Policies To Watch In 2025”, Erika said that she expects the incoming Trump administration to rescind the current WOTUS rule "quicker than it did the first time." Erika further predicted that "rescinding the current WOTUS rule is going to be “one of the top priorities for the Trump EPA,” adding that “water practitioners, regulators, industry, and individuals throughout the country have experienced more than a decade of WOTUS whiplash, and I don't think that whiplash will stop."
