Latinvex Names Maddie Boyer a Top Female Lawyer in Latin America for 2021

Principal Maddie Boyer (Austin, TX) was named a “Top 100 Female Lawyer” in Latin America for 2021 by Latinvex, a leading Latin American business publication. This marks the eighth consecutive year that Maddie, founder of the firm’s Latin America practice group, has been recognized by Latinvex. In making the selection, Latinvex reviewed female lawyers who focus on legal issues in Latin America from international law firms. Earlier this year, Latinvex recognized Maddie as one of Latin America’s “Top 100 Lawyers.”

Maddie provides legal analysis, strategic assessments, and compliance counseling on issues arising under the domestic environmental, health, and safety regulations of most Latin American countries. This year her work has centered on ESG standards including human rights, climate change, circular economy initiatives and plastics regulations, and emerging chemicals.

Fluent in Spanish, Maddie received a post-graduate degree from La Escuela Libre de Derecho School of Law, Mexico's premier law school, where she wrote and defended a thesis on Mexico's hazardous waste and remediation standards. From 1988-1990, she served in the United States Peace Corps in Guatemala.

In March, Latinvex ranked Beveridge & Diamond the #1 Environmental law firm and a top International firm for 2021 in its annual ranking of “Latin America’s Top International Law Firms.”
