Firmwide Managing Principal Marc Goldstein (Boston) spoke with Law.com Pro Mid-Market about Beveridge & Diamond’s (B&D) growth strategy, talent investments, and how shifting federal priorities impacted the firm’s practice in 2025.

In “Beveridge & Diamond Grows Revenue Over 8% Amid Trump Environmental Policy Changes,” Marc explained that despite the varied impact of the change in the administration’s environmental priorities, the “diversification of our practices” within B&D’s environmental focus helped keep the firm “on a pretty even keel.” While the slowdown in federal enforcement activity impacted some of B&D’s practices, he noted the firm saw increased demand in emerging areas such as citizen suits, extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulation, data centers, and the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement.

Marc also highlighted how these shifts created unique lateral hiring opportunities, as a wave of high-level government lawyers entered the private sector. He noted that B&D brought on more senior government talent than initially planned, contributing to the firm’s continued strategic growth since 2023. B&D has made significant targeted investments in both talent and technology as part of its broader strategic plan and is focused on succession planning as it looks to the next generation of firm leadership.
