Paula Schauwecker Discusses Leading with Empathy and Trust on Lawyers Who Lead Podcast

Lawyers Who Lead, a podcast produced by Lawline, recently interviewed B&D’s Chief Talent Officer (CTO) and Principal Paula Schauwecker (New York) for its December 8 episode titled “Leading with Empathy and Trust with Paula J. Schauwecker.” In the episode, Paula discusses her career before becoming a lawyer and how her role within B&D has evolved since joining the firm nearly 20 years ago.

As CTO, Paula is responsible for coordinating and leading attorney recruiting, retention, and professional development at B&D. Paula talks about how she came to that role in 2020 and about her experiences as an openly LGBTQIA+ attorney. She discusses what Leadership in Law means to her and why she believes empathy and trust are so important.
