Washington

Your connection to U.S. EPA, DOJ, and other federal agencies, and the hub of our national and regional litigation practices.

B&D’s first and largest office—founded in the earliest days of U.S. environmental regulation by lawyers who included the first administrator of U.S. EPA—is the hub for our core federal environmental, chemical, and international regulatory, investigation and litigation practices, including pesticides and product regulation. In addition, DC serves as home base for our nationwide mass tort defense practice, including class actions, as well as government enforcement, criminal matters, and civil suits among private parties with environmental issues—often in conjunction with our other offices located across the country. Our environmental & social governance (ESG), sustainability, and environmental justice practices also have their roots in this office. In addition, DC lawyers have strong state and local environmental and litigation practices throughout the District, Maryland, and Virginia regions.
