Principal John Cruden (Washington, DC) will speak on Reflections on State of the Practice: Role of the Courts and Untold Lessons Learned from Deepwater Horizon at the Ad-Hoc Industry Natural Resource Management Group (The Group)'s State-Of-The-Practice Meeting. John, while at the Department of Justice, led the negotiations with BP, which resulted in what the Department of Justice announced as the global resolution of civil claims worth $20.8 billion “the largest settlement with a single entity in the department’s history." During this presentation, John will dive into that experience and discuss lessons learned that might impact the ability to respond in the future.
