Biography

Via represents clients in complex litigation, enforcement matters, and contaminated site remediation efforts.

Olivia "Via" thrives on translating dense records into clear strategies for clients. She sharpened her research and writing skills as a judicial intern in the Eastern District of New York and as a student attorney appearing in D.C. Housing Court, where she counseled clients, negotiated with opposing parties, and participated in mediations. Those experiences—combined with hands-on work preparing court orders, dispositive memoranda, and compiling filings—provide her with a strong foundation for motion practice and case management in environmental and commercial matters.

At B&D, Via researches legal issues, drafts memoranda, compiles court documents, and maintains legislation trackers. Before attending law school, she supported trial teams as a litigation paralegal at a global firm, where she prepared discovery, coordinated productions, and served as a liaison among internal stakeholders—skills she now applies to complex, multi-party environmental disputes and government investigations. She is particularly interested in matters that intersect with federal and state enforcement and remediation, including work involving the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and cost-recovery and allocation under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).
