Biography
Ryan helps clients navigate carbon emissions and environmental markets.
Ryan is an experienced environmental attorney focused on serving clients in environmental markets. He recently served as Deputy General Counsel for a global leader in emissions reduction projects with operations spanning Africa, Central America, India, and Southeast Asia. In this capacity, Ryan spearheaded legal strategies for a wide range of complex transactions, including project finance, carbon credit sales, and planning and operation of energy efficiency, methane mitigation, and nature-based emission reduction projects.
Prior to his in-house role, Ryan was an associate at a Washington, DC-based firm where he advised clients in the carbon markets, clean technology, low carbon fuels, and renewable energy sectors. His work included representing clients in rulemaking and litigation under the Clean Air Act and federal Renewable Fuel Standard and securing public funding and policy support for businesses in clean technology.
