Biography

Megan is a nationally recognized litigator and leader in high-stakes environmental and commercial litigation.

Megan is an accomplished and results-driven litigator with extensive experience handling complex litigation matters, including commercial class actions, environmental disputes, and toxic tort cases. She is nationally recognized for her skillful defense of high-stakes class and mass action lawsuits, securing significant victories in jurisdictions across the country.

American Lawyer twice recognized her in its Litigator of the Week competition for defeating class certification in two separate actions, one involving a high-stakes odor nuisance action concerning a Landfill located outside of New Orleans, Louisiana and the other a lawsuit involving 20,000 commercial waste collection customers across the state, having highlighted significant variation in the underlying contracts. Megan was previously awarded Runner-Up for Litigator of the Week for her work securing dismissal of a major class action in Pennsylvania and in defending removal to federal court of four class action lawsuits in Louisiana.

In addition to her litigation expertise, Megan is adept in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), having mediated and arbitrated complex, high-value disputes involving breach of contract and related commercial claims. As an AAA-trained mediator and FINRA arbitrator, Megan’s specialized ADR training has significantly enhanced her ability to successfully advise clients and achieve favorable outcomes in dispute resolution.

Beyond class action and ADR work, Megan specializes in environmental and toxic tort litigation, including defense of cost recovery and contribution actions under CERCLA and state analogs, and toxic tort and product liability claims involving contaminants such as PCE, TCE, PCBs, 1,4-dioxane, and lead. She also regularly represents policyholders in complex insurance coverage disputes involving commercial general liability (CGL), directors and officers (D&O), and pollution liability policies.

Recently elected to the American College of Environmental Lawyers, Megan is active in advancing procedural fairness and litigation efficiency through her leadership role in Lawyers for Civil Justice. Her commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion is evidenced by her leadership roles in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and various women's organizations. Previously, she served for seven years as chair of her firm's Litigation practice group.

Earlier in her career, Megan clerked for the Honorable Charles L. Brieant of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
