B&D Welcomes Two New Associates
Top-ranked environmental law and litigation firm Beveridge & Diamond continued to grow in the final quarter of 2022. Please welcome our two new associates, Astrika Adams in our Washington, DC office, and Emma Dismukes in our Boston office.
“We are thrilled to have these two associates join the B&D team. These excellent lawyers bring an array of experience to augment our transactional, climate change, and land use practices. We are excited to see their contributions and watch them grow at the firm in the coming years."
— Marc Goldstein, Firmwide Managing Principal
Astrika Adams (Washington, DC)
Astrika has significant transactional and regulatory law experience. Her expertise focuses on corporate and commercial law and its relation to environmental law and the regulated industries therein. She previously served as in-house counsel to a private equity fund where she focused on M&A contract formation in the energy and conservation sectors, including financing transactions, other commercial contracts, and both environmental and commercial due diligence. She also served as Assistant Chief Counsel for Environmental Law and Policy with the Office of Advocacy, an independent federal government office that represents the interests of small businesses, non-profits, and small governments, in front of Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. There, she applied her private sector operational experience to fine-tune draft federal environmental regulations and policies.
Emma Dismukes (Boston)
Emma helps clients navigate environmental and land use concerns ranging from pesticides and agricultural issues to permitting and project development. Before joining B&D, she spent two years as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael Vhay of the Massachusetts Land Court, working on matters pertaining to right, title, and interest in land. She also interned with a variety of organizations — including the Natural Resources Defense Council, Conservation Law Foundation, and Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic — that focus on issues including urban agriculture, food policy, natural resource law, and environmental justice.
