Jimmy Slaughter Appointed to DC Bar Legal Ethics Committee
The District of Columbia Bar Board of Governors has confirmed the appointment of Principal Jimmy Slaughter (Washington, DC) to the DC Bar’s Legal Ethics Committee for a three-year term. The Committee issues formal written opinions on questions arising under the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct and provides guidance on their interpretation and application. Prior to his appointment to the Ethics Committee, Jimmy served three terms on the DC Bar Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee.

He represents waste and recycling companies, cities, farms, contractors, and trade associations. Jimmy currently serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Litigation Center’s Energy & Environmental Litigation Advisory Committee and has served on ABA and Defense Research Institute committees addressing environmental law and litigation. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
