The Legal 500 Selects Brook Detterman and Paul Hagen as United States Green Ambassadors for 2026

The Legal 500 named Principals Brook Detterman (Boston) and Paul Hagen (Washington, DC) as United States Green Ambassadors for 2026. The annual series recognizes private practice lawyers who are advancing sustainability and the green transition through their client work, thought leadership, and broader industry engagement.

The Legal 500 described Brook as “highly sought-after to advise on landmark low-carbon transition mandates.” The publication also highlighted Paul’s “particular authority on product stewardship matters, regularly acting for clients in the electronics, batteries, and plastics sectors.”

According to The Legal 500, the Green Ambassadors series recognizes lawyers who demonstrate “an active thought leadership presence – as standout voices in academic, legal, or sector-focused speaking and writing posts – and/or a deep sustainability engagement – whether as key figures in the firm’s decarbonisation journey or as leading players in industry or public-sector committees and taskforces.”
