October 2 Law360 named B&D litigator Eric L. Klein (Principal, Boston) one of its 2023 MVPs in the environmental law category. According to Law360, MVPs “have distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.” Of the more than 900 submissions to determine the winners, the 2023 MVP class consists of 171 lawyers from 76 firms and 37 practice areas – 5 in environmental law.

Eric’s recent accomplishments include:

"B&D is proud of Eric and this distinctive recognition from Law360. I litigated shoulder-to-shoulder through a six-week trial with Eric, and I know firsthand what our clients say time again about him: Eric is an innovative litigator who brings creative, well-organized arguments to any case. He is fearless and extremely talented. He is also a leader within B&D, the legal industry, and the Boston community. Eric is an MVP to the firm and our clients." said Marc Goldstein, B&D's Firmwide Managing Principal.

Eric’s award from Law360 follows other recognitions he and B&D colleagues have received for excellence in environmental litigation, including being the 2023 Environmental Litigation Firm of the Year from U.S. News – Best Lawyers®, and securing seven American Lawyer Litigator of the Week runner-up or winning recognitions from 2019 to 2023. American Lawyer named Eric Litigator of the Week in January 2021 for his leadership of Newark’s successful legal defense, a runner-up in 2022 for his California Superfund litigation victory, and a shout-out recipient in 2023 for defeating class certification in a breach of contract suit.
