Brook Detterman Elected President of Law Firm Sustainability Network

Beveridge & Diamond

Beveridge & Diamond Principal Brook Detterman (Boston) has been elected President of the Board of Directors of the Law Firm Sustainability Network (LFSN). Founded in 2011, LFSN is a nonprofit organization of law firms and legal departments committed to promoting the benefits of environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility within their organizations and throughout the legal industry.

Brook succeeds B&D Principal Dan Krainin (New York) in the role. He also serves as the chair of the firm’s Sustainability Committee. B&D has been involved in LFSN since its inception, and B&D attorneys were active in the development of LFSN’s American Legal Industry Sustainability Standard (ALISS), a web-based tool designed to help law offices assess and improve their sustainability programs. This year B&D received an ALISS Gold ranking, reflecting its strong sustainability achievements and ongoing efforts.

“Brook has a distinguished record working with clients in climate change, renewable energy, and other environmental matters. We know he will be an excellent leader as the Law Firm Sustainability Network advances to its next stage of evolution. His appreciation and thoughtfulness for environmental stewardship will help LFSN’s mission to advance sustainability within the legal industry. We are very fortunate and looking forward to having Brook in the role of President,” said Gayatri Joshi, Executive Director of LFSN.

Brook commented, “I am honored to serve as President of LFSN. I am proud of what our firm has accomplished to date in collaboration with LFSN and look forward to helping the legal profession as a whole continue to move towards a more sustainable future.”
